Our Vision
The Goliath Legacy Leage was conceived by the realization that many of the world’s great cricket stars came from humble beginnings. Here is a small selection of stories that together with many others made up the foundation of our vision of bringing cricket to the villages in India and growing the hitherto unearthed talent that would otherwise go unrecognized.
Freddie Trueman
Frederick Sewards Trueman, OBE (6 February 1931 – 1 July 2006) was an English cricketer who played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the England cricket team.
David Warner
David Andrew Warner (born 27 October 1986) is an Australian former international cricketer and captain of Big Bash League team, Sydney Thunder and also captain of Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings A left-handed opening batter, Warner was the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to be selected for the national team in any format without experience in first-class cricket. He captained Australia in ODIs and T20Is and served as a vice-captain across formats before his suspension and played his domestic cricket for New South Wales.
Yousuf was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan to a Punjabi Christian family. As a boy, he couldn’t afford cricket gear and played street cricket with his brother’s taped tennis ball and wooden planks. As a 12-year-old, he was spotted by the Golden Gymkhana, and he subsequently joined Lahore’s Forman Christian College and continued playing until stopping abruptly in early 1994
Our mission
Through persistence and determination we have gathered around us a small, but dedicated number of people passionate about our vision. They include a property mogul from Mumbai, a famous ex India cricket captain, a politician whose name is heard from the smallest villages to the grandest city halls and a handful more who together with the owners of The Cricket Pitch will make the Goliath Legacy Leage a household name not only in India but around the world.
Our vision requires funding and far more than the patrons could be able to muster and so we have created a fun and rewarding cricket prediction App to ensure that we will have sufficient capital to ensure that the dreams of young, passionate, male and female cricket enthusiasts will come true.
Our process
Working with our Indian developer partners we have created and built a cricket predictor App which all readers of The Cricket Pitch can play for FREE and subscribers can play for rewards. Almost half our revenue will go back to the players of the App called Goliath101, and from the other half and after the expenses related to running our business we will devote a substantial amount of net proceeds towards the development of our dream
There are many steps in our process, too many to enumerate here but suffice to say we will require the most important ingredients … the girls and boys who want nothing more to be great at the game they love … cricket!

All our readers can download the Goliath Predictor App and play for FREE but here is the inside leg for subscribers … they are given “cricket balls” to enable them to play the Predictor App for huge rewards and cash if they correctly predict the actions occurring in each OVER of cricket. Unless cricket has always been a part of your life it will be more difficult for you to get your predictions right BUT you would not be reading this unless you had a good understanding of what happens in overs of different cricket matches. Test match play is very different to T-20 so to win you have to use your knowledge. Eligible players (subscribers) will win by predicting 5, 6, and 7 actions in each over and if they correctly predict 8 from 8 achieving THE GOLIATH – they could win up to ₹1Crore!!

The aim of GLL is to generate and grow a new wave of cricket stars, harvested from Indian communities lacking in the resources or training facilities to give this talent the opportunity to go to the top. After its birth and popularity in India we will gradually introduce this amazing concept to other Asian nations lacking in facilities.
GLL will not replace the IPL but will challenge it at a different level. GLL will create a positive disruption in the cricket world not seen since the launch of the IPL in 2008 and didn’t this turn cricket around?
Candidates will be eligible on a “State of Origin” basis with entry levels for male and female between the ages of 15 – 18 with have a demonstrable dedication and determination to participate and the highest level of the greatest game of all – CRICKET!
After the initial selection of location and venue (any unused open grassy space) a part of which we may lease for the installation of basic training facilities such as nets for batting/bowling practice and of course this could not be done without equipment (bats; balls; gloves; pads; stumps AND also “strip” or appropriate cricket clothing. All equipment will carry sponsor and GLL logos. Recruitment from local high schools where we would seek candidates and potential voluntary coaching/supervision staff.
Simultaneous to our soft launch, we will recruit various qualified coaches for batting; bowling; fielding and strategy. As candidates progress through the skill levels teams will be formed and matches established.
As venues expand, the intra team League will be established and a fan base established through social media in the locales. Involvement by local governments; TV and radio stations and print media companies will be essential to promoting the initial spectator groups. Inducements to attend will be offered by local sponsors.
Soon we will launch the GOLIATH 500 CLUB keep reading for notification about this unique “legacy” whereby members will be recruited by selection and appointment and their membership will be perpetual thus creating a “legacy” for the members to be passed on from generation to generation.
